Integrated Micro-Electronics Bulgaria EOOD is a thriving company with modern technologies, original engineering solutions and highly effective management. It is tier 2 and producer of electronic components and services for manufacturers of original electrical and electronic parts and devices for the automotive, industrial and consumer sectors. The modules produced go to the leading car makers. The whole product’s cycle takes place in Bulgaria, from the first contact with the customer to the manufacturing and warranty service. The excellent business results have been achieved in the attractive but highly demanding automotive market – the automotive products form the imperessive 92% of the sales.
The company is part of Integrated Micro-Electronics, Inc. whose products are in the automotive industry, the medical equipment field, the telecommunications and industrial applications. Having fifteen production sites worldwide, located in the Philippines, China, Singapore, the US, Mexico, Bulgaria and the Czech Republic IMI Inc. ranks 6th among the world's best manufacturers of electronic modules for the automotive industry. The Bulgarian branch is number 1 in the automotive production, it accounts for 25% of the total turnover and is the main producer for Europe.
In 2017 IMI Bulgaria celebrates the twentieth year of its operation in Bulgaria. The business started in Botevgrad as EPIQ Electronic Assembly in 1997 as part of the Belgian group EPIQ till 2011 when it became part of the Philippine company IMI Inc.
Over the years IMI Bulgaria has grown on a large scale and the turnover reached EUR 190 million. The employees are more than 2300 and the company is one of the largest employers in the region. The highly competitive environment makes. In the period 2013-2016 IMI Bulgaria invested EUR 26 million in premises and equipment and has been awarded Certificate for Investor class A. IMI Bulgaria’s plans for the next 10 years are to increase the competitiveness, improve quality, in-time delivery.
