Grammer AD' s beginning was given in Trudovets in 1952 with the foundation of metal processing workshop Tsanko Tsekov. Twenty years later is turned into  Vazhod Bus and Carriage Seat Manufacturing. In 1994 it was restructured in a company owned by the government and included in mass privatization.

The company becomes part of Grammer Group in 1997, when Grammer AG, Germany buys the majority shares of Vazhod EAD. About 4 years later its name on 06.02.2002 its name is changed to Grammer AD.

The main activity of the company is seat production in two main flows- Seating systems and Automotive. Depending on the production process the finished products of Grammer AD is classified as follows:

• Seats- includes seats, armrests and spare parts for them;

•Sawing- includes covers for headrests, consoles and armrests.
