The total investment of the 100 year company in Bulgaria in 2016 is more than 50 million dollars in the three locations where it operates. The company opened its newest production facility in april 2016 in Plovdiv to meet the growing needs of its European automotive customers for key applications sensors . The company which employs more than 3000 people in Bulgaria has a Business center in Sofia which houses Design Engineering, Mechanization and the largest Sensata's test laboratory in the world. The other production location of the company apart from Plovdiv is Botevgrad where high temperature sensors for automotive industry are produced. 

The employees in Plovdiv for the moment are around 500 and the plans are to increase that number significantly in the new few years, putting Sensata among the biggest employers not only in the region of Plovdiv but also for the whole territory of Bulgaria.
