The biggest and most up to date production facility of thermal printers in Southeast Europe APS Industrial Park was officially opened today in Botevgrad. It is located on the territory of Microelectronica Industrial zone. The official opening was performed by the mayor Ivan Gavalyugov and the foreign investors Paolo Vizentini from Italy and Denis Montaguelli from France in the presence of many officials and guests.
The opening ceremony was held according to Bulgarian traditions. Speeches were held by the company owners. Both underlined that they do not regret investing in Bulgaria and Botevgrad. Paolo Vizantini said that at the beginning, about 12 years ago the production was only performed at one floor of the building and now is taking at least 10 times more space.
We have developed our product together with engineers from Sofia and Botevgrad and we send our printers to the four corners of the world with label "Made in Bulgaria", said the Italian investor. Mr. Vizentini counted the advantages of investing in Bulgaria- good geographical location, good infrastructure and qualified work force- well educated specialists who know foreign languages.
Paolo Vizentini thanked Docho Staykov- manager of APS in Botevgrad for his contribution for the development of the production. "Exactly he has created this friendly and family atmosphere in the company" said mr. Vizentini.
We are proud that today APS owns 25 international patents in the production of thermal printers and software said in his speach Denis Mntagutelli. On his account today Bulgaria is a country where the free enterpreneurship is an achieveble mission.
Ivan Gavalyugov thanked the owners for their decision to invest in Botevgrad. "In my opinion biggest gratitude needs to be given to the operators and employees in APS as I believe thir hard work and devotion correct attitude have convinced the owners that Bulgaria and Botevgrad in particular is the correct place for their investments. He ensured the investors that they find a correct and faithful partner in the name of Botevgrad Municipality.
On behalf of the minister of economics Bozhidar Lukarski a gratitude note was read by his advisor Vladimir Karolev "Your investment is extremely important to the economical development of the region. It turns Botevgrad into a top location for the world in the area of thermal printers manifacturinh where your partners from all over the world can benefit from the newest achievements in the sector" was sad in part of the gratitude note.
After the official ceremony the guests were invited to have a tour through APS Industrial Park.
The investment in the factory is 3 000 000 euro financed by APS Group/ Advanced Printing Systems, global leading company for design, production and sells of thermal printers. It is situated on 17 000 sq. m and will ensure at least 120 working places adding up to the current 150 employees. Right now this is the only production facility of the company worldwide and it will produce over 6 000 000 printers per year which are going to be exported globally.
